I'm Felix Brennan, a lifelong DIY tinkerer who's spent the last decade transforming patios—both my own and neighbors'—into functional outdoor rooms. After building three screened enclosures and retrofitting a back patio with custom misting systems, I realized how many homeowners were intimidated by these projects. I started documenting my builds to show that screened patios, enclosures, and shade solutions are absolutely doable without hiring contractors. When I'm not covered in dust or wrestling with screening material, you'll find me enjoying morning coffee on my covered patio with my rescued border collie, Max, or experimenting with new patio furniture arrangements.
